the problem
the old PrestaShop store couldn’t keep up with how WJDtools actually sells: 3,500+ products, stock managed in Linnworks, an eBay channel, years of URLs, and business customers with their own pricing and ordering rules. all of that had to survive the move.
how i did it
the old store stayed live the whole time. i pulled the data out, cleaned it, tested everything in staging, then switched over.
PrestaShop data → clean and transform → staging WooCommerce → production launch
what i built
the move
3,500+ products from PrestaShop to WooCommerce, tested in staging first.
B2B accounts
a custom plugin for business customers: their own pricing, minimum orders, bulk buying, invoicing.
stock sync
WooCommerce wired into the existing Linnworks and eBay setup instead of replacing it.
out of stock
pages that point to alternatives or take a back-in-stock email instead of a dead end.
old URLs
every legacy URL redirected, with an SEO specialist, plus GA4 and Search Console set up clean.
editable pages
frontend in Breakdance so the client can change content without waiting on me.
how it went
i don’t have access to their sales reporting anymore, so i won’t claim numbers i can’t back up. what i can say: the store is still running, stock still syncs through Linnworks and eBay, and the B2B rules live in the platform instead of in workarounds.
i looked after it until October 2025: hosting, fixes, and new features as they came up.
